ATTN PARTY ANIMALS: If you’re visiting Dublin, just moved here, or are a long time resident who would like to learn more about the ins and outs of going out, you’ve come to the right place.
How late do pubs stay open in Dublin? Is there a dress code? When do the buses stop running? We’ve got these questions answered, and more, in our hot new infographic.
Credit to Come Here To Me, a great website for Dublin culture and history, for their research on Early Houses in Dublin. Likewise, during my fact finding mission, I initially struggled with finding the type of license needed for a late bar, but as it turns out, that’s because no such license exists. The best place for finding this info is actually on solicitors’ websites, as they are well versed in the legal aspects of the necessary licensing and exemptions.
Correction: a previous version of the infographic cited 12 Early Houses remaining in Dublin–this was incorrect. There are only 10: The Dark Horse is now a Starbucks and Ned Scanlons is also closed.
